The local brand celebrates local craftsmanship in its first design studio

Kultura, in celebration of Filipino arts and crafts, is launching its first-ever Filipino design studio, which will run throughout September at Kultura Store, Level 3 of The Podium.

Known for his printed scarves inspired by our people, our culture and our heritage, Jim Weaver collaborates with Francis Libiran in an exclusive collection

The studio aims to be a space for inspiration and community showcasing a specially curated selection of over 50 high-end guest brands and designers alongside Kultura.

The month-long event will immerse customers in fine Filipino craftsmanship from all regions, with a luxurious and beautifully curated collection of modern Filipiniana, statement jewelry, one-of-a-kind accessories and stylish home decor showcasing the best local brands and artisans.

Flutter Jewelry’s pineapple pearl earrings are among the finds of over 50 brands and designers from the very first Filipino design studio Kultura.

Modern Filipiniana by Rhett Eala and Ilaya Couture as well as Nuevo Ystilo, Raffaella and En Barong Filipino are just a few of the exquisite fashion finds.

Jim Weaver’s elegant silk scarves inspired by our people, culture and heritage comprise the Jim Weaver x Francis Libiran collection.

Make a statement with Flutter Jewelry’s pineapple and crab earrings using traditional beadwork techniques; Matthew and Melka accessories inspired by local flora and fauna; chic jewelry in copper wire and precious stones by Mjoiran. There are also beautiful hand fans from the Philippines’ oldest fan maker, Casa Mercedes, and contemporary knitwear from Chill by Nooks.

Kultura’s Filipino design studio also works with communities and emphasizes sustainability. There are hand-woven embroidered fabrics made by Abra communities for Strong Mina; beautiful bags and accessories made from colorful recycled single-use plastic grocery bags and other discarded plastics by Virtucio; eco-fashion bags made from ethically sourced carabao horns by Kara de Juan; and Shepard’s natural personal care products.

The Filipino design studio also presents items for the home.
