Surreal Design Studio brings the world of tokidoki to life at Phoenix Marketcity, Bangalore

Surreal Design Studio has once again enhanced children’s summer experience with their latest installation “The World of tokidoki” at Phoenix Marketcity, Bangalore, an official statement pointed out.

The installation that is part of the mall’s Holiday Land campaign is an experiential space that captivates children and adults with its larger-than-life characters and lets them play with their imaginations. With this facility, people will be able to explore the world of tokidoki for the first time in India.

The installation showcases an interactive land of fantasy that tells the story of tokidoki to visitors. With floral landscaping reflecting the ongoing spring-summer theme, a 20-foot Unicorno in the center with four other characters from different tokidoki themes invites visitors to witness the magical aura awaiting them.

Their recently launched technology division, SurrealXR, has also created and introduced an AR filter to further complement the scenery, which adds a new mixed reality experience for visitors. The goal is to create a more immersive experience for them by combining the best of both; the physical world and the digital world. These filters allow visitors to share much more interesting content, adding to their overall experience.

Speaking about the new project, Rahul Soni, Founder of Surreal Design Studio, said, “Tokidoki is one of our favorite installations because it takes us into an imaginative space and feels like a child again. We dove into the world of fantasy to bring this to life and were extremely amused by the result. Our association with Holiday Land gives us a chance to enhance summer fun for children and blend fun and creativity for an everlasting experience. Experiential marketing facilities are gradually becoming an attractive alternative for parents who, for some reason, cannot take their children on vacation to faraway places. Plus, today’s kids want to engage in something that ignites their imaginations. The facility lives up to its name – tokidoki which translates to “sometimes” in Japanese, because only sometimes can you experience something as fascinating as this.

Ameya Kankonkar, co-founder of Surreal Design Studio, said, “The World of tokidoki is a living example of our vision to transform spaces into highly imaginative experiences. The installation is fun, fresh and creative. Facility highlights like the trampoline for the kids to play on, a few sit-on donuts, the sprinkle pit for the kids, and their favorite characters like unicorns and Donutella will take them on a trip to wonderland. The successful installation of this project has further strengthened our confidence to constantly innovate in the design and implementation of technology to create enhanced experiences for our visitors in public spaces.

The facility has been set up for the summer months of April and May at Phoenix Marketcity Bangalore.

Surreal Design Studio has also transformed Phoenix Marketcity, Bangalore in the past with successful installations such as ‘The Infinity Crystal Dome’, ‘Palatial Diwali’ and ‘Santa’s Town’.
