Oklahoma State University’s fashion design and production and fashion merchandising programs ranked in the top 50 of all schools and colleges in the United States for 2021, according to Fashion-Schools.org.

OSU ranked # 31 in Fashion Design and # 35 in Fashion Merchandising. In the Southwest region, OSU ranked sixth in fashion design and fifth in fashion merchandising. The Fashion Design and Production Program also ranked 15th among all public fashion design schools in the country.

Ranking factors include admission data, graduation success, reputation, and a large, proprietary survey of school and industry stakeholders.

OSU has a long-standing national reputation as the option of choice for students seeking careers in design, housing and merchandising. Strong industry connections inform the program, and students gain valuable career experience through professional development opportunities, courses abroad, and internships with top industry professionals. In addition, students have access to cutting-edge technology and participate in cutting-edge research that helps shape the future of the industry.

“We strive to ensure that our students are state-of-the-art and equipped with the skills our industry needs,” said Dr. Lynn Boorady, Head of Design, Housing and Merchandising. “Our faculty uses industry connections and real projects, combined with leadership and travel experiences, to give students a foundation for success. That’s why our alumni excel in their careers and our students demonstrate excellence.
