NOW OPEN: Brickworks Global Flagship Design Studio in New York

Opening night guests included Carson Kressley, Robyn Partridge, Thom Filicia, Mark Ellenor and many more.

For many, hearing the term “5th Avenue” can conjure up visions of stacks of shopping bags, fancy restaurants and lavish hotels. But Brickworks, the Australian brick manufacturing giant, has put its global flagship on the chic road as a demonstration of its full intention to be recognized as the premier choice in brick home finishes.

Now that working from home is the norm for many, the next step is to spruce up that home. Home buying, renovations, replacements and updating are all hot summer activities. “This space is not just for stacking bricks. It’s about interacting with customers and designers in the real world. ” mentioned Lindsay Partridge, Managing Director, Brickworks. And just so, as the multi-story space caps a treasured nook near the main entrance of the New York Public Library. The clear glass brick wall that runs up the stairs to the second floor is particularly stunning, accented by white and brass details, as well as the backlit misted brick used as part of an office. These are just two examples of the ingenious use of brick around space.

Grand opening of Brickworks Design Studio at 445 Fifth Ave on March 3, 2022

The opening night event was just a taste of what could happen in this sprawling space. Themed in the spirit of late 1920s Art Deco charm, the Brickworks opening was actually a black tie affair, with the gentlemen dressed in black and the ladies stepping out in lavish dresses and gowns.

Live dancing and singing by Australian superstar Samantha Jade (including a very authentic crooner) was accented by two full bars, personalized hors d’oeuvres, cartoonish designs and a champagne tower. It was a truly celebratory evening and set the tone for the future of Brickwork’s Flagship: creativity and exciting possibilities.
