Note Design Studio creates a sustainable immersive experience in Milan

Mixed habitats, presented at this year’s Milan Design Week, was designed by Note Design Studio for Vestre. Awarded ‘Best Stand’ at Stockholm Furniture Fair 2020, the studio has fully executed Vestre’s commitment to sustainability. So, for this year’s Milan Design Week 2021, the sustainable furniture maker commissioned Note to reuse as many materials as possible from last year’s Stockholm Fair to create an immersive installation.

In part, reusing the stand is quite efficient as all the materials used – such as hollow brick, stone, pine plywood and polycarbonate double panels – could be easily reused on their own and generate a minimum waste.

The exhibit featured a modular outdoor seating system created by Note Design Studio itself. Other pieces included a bench and planter called Stripes, as well as seats created by Andreas Engesvik and Jonas Ravlo Stokke for the new Munch Museum which opened in Oslo.
