New Balance Tokyo Design Studio RC Elite V2 “Steel Blue” Release Date

Following the debut of the Stone Island x New Balance Tokyo Design Studio RC Elite SI in October last year, NB’s Tokyo Design Studio is now readying the RC ELITE V2 silhouette in a “Steel Blue” colorway. Upcoming pairs arrive in a distressed design with choppy cutouts dotted atop breathable 3D knit uppers.

Inspired by the heritage New Balance 1300JP running shoes, the new iteration features a blue mesh base with gray suede overlays and eggshell white panels. The stylized New Balance graphics are partially exposed under the torn overlays and the side “N” logos are split downwards. Additional details include contrast stitching found on the heel section and “tokyo design studio” text printed on the tongues.

The design is completed with performance soles featuring FuelCell technology and a carbon fiber plate for energy return and 360 degree functionality.

The New Balance Tokyo Design Studio RC Elite V2 “Steel Blue” is set to release on the New Balance website and at select retailers in Tokyo on August 6 for ¥35,200 (approximately $266).

Elsewhere in the shoes, here’s an official look at Drake’s NOCTA x Nike Air Force 1 Low “Certified Lover Boy”.
