Lecturer in Fashion Design & Digital (Part-Time, 28.8 hours per week)
Do you have experience teaching fashion design and digital fashion and the ability to create an inclusive teaching and learning environment? Are you looking for a stimulating position in an open, dynamic environment open to new ideas? Then join UEL as a Senior Lecturer in Fashion Design and you could soon be developing and delivering high-quality, innovative and engaging teaching for our diverse student cohort.
Your challenge? To design, develop and deliver innovative education for BA (Hons) Fashion Design students. You will also collaborate with colleagues and management on the development of existing and new programs.
You will have a degree in a relevant discipline and a postgraduate degree and/or significant professional experience in fashion design. You will understand relevant industry practices and have knowledge of digital developments in fashion such as: Clo 3D, Fashion Design, Technical Drawing and Fashion Production (pattern cutting/stitching). You will also bring experience in module and course development and working with external stakeholders, including industry partners, and the ability to undertake research and/or advice.
Adapt to conveying ideas to students from diverse backgrounds, you will have a deep commitment to the practice of anti-racist education, closing the rewards gap, gender equality and empowering LGBTQIA. You will also enjoy developing professional relationships with students, colleagues, employers and external agencies.
