Karnataka plans to build the “Bengaluru Design District”; to strengthen design, art, fashion
The government of Karnataka is in the process of establishing the “Bengaluru Design District” on the lines of the Dubai Design District, commonly referred to as d3.
Dubai District Design (d3) created in 2013, is a space where the world of design, art and fashion coexist, where new perspectives are offered and a change from the ordinary to the extraordinary is made possible.
Bearing in mind to set up the “Bengaluru Design District” project, CN Ashwath Narayan, the Minister of IT / Bt and S&T of the Government of Karnataka, visited on Sunday at d3 in company senior officials, among others.
CN Meena Nagaraj, Director of IT, Arun Director Digital ISDC, Ivan A. Fernandes, Managing Director of Regent Technologies, Sathar Al Karan, Founder of ArtUAE visited Dubai Design District and Al Serkal Avenue, Dubai to explore d3 for the establishment of the same in Bangalore.
Majid Almari, CEO of Registration and Real Estate Services of Dubai Land Department, Government of Dubai received the Minister and had a discussion on future collaborations related to various initiatives.
“d3 enables disruptive thinking to create a world of endless possibilities through beautifully designed spaces and unique community offerings. Drawing inspiration from d3, the government of Karnataka aims to create a design district with an area of 100 at 150 acres in Bengaluru. With this, the government also wants to organize the “Banglore Design Festival” as the biggest design festival in the world, “said the minister.
Narayan added, “The Bengaluru Design District will be a global outsourcing destination for various areas of design. It will be a creatively stimulating environment that will keep creators, makers and designers in one place. This will benefit corporate design centers, media and advertising companies. , Product / Service Design Companies, Design Startups, Digital Design Companies, among others. “
The Design District project is offered by the International Skill Development Corporation (ISDC) and Jain University in association with the World Design Council, United Kingdom.
