Jerry Seinfeld is a model for Kith. internet has thoughts
Featuring the good, the bad and the ugly, ‘Look of the week’ is a regular series dedicated to unboxing the most talked about outfit in the last seven days.
Jerry Seinfeld is known for many things, but being a style icon was never one of them. Unless, of course, you’re counting on “The Puffy Shirt” from the “Seinfeld” episode of the same name — a garment so iconic it now lives permanently in the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History.
So many were surprised that New York streetwear brand Kith chose the 68-year-old as the face of their new collection.
On Tuesday, the label unveiled a series of campaign images that immediately ignited the internet. Taken by famed photographer Mark Seliger, the images show Seinfeld perched on heirloom furniture, leaning on piles of dusty books and sitting at a desk with a typewriter.
The comedian is seen wearing — somewhat effortlessly, it must be said — an array of Kith’s new hoodies, sweatpants, varsity jackets and floral prints. Part of a fall 2022 collection rich in neutral tones and cashmere fabrics, the items modeled by Seinfeld are part of a capsule developed alongside the clothing brand Russell Athletic and the City University of New York (namely Brooklyn College and Queens College, the latter from which he graduated just 46 years ago).

And soon the discussion wasn’t just about whether he looked cool, but whether the 60-year-old comedian also looked…sexy.

“There are a handful of people I’ve dreamed of working with since a young age,” Fieg wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of the couple on set. “At the top of that list was Jerry.”
