IKEA Canada announces three new design studios in Ontario

BURLINGTON, ON, October 13, 2021 /CNW/ – IKEA Canada is expanding its network of design studios this month with locations in Brampton, St. Catharinesand London – provide personalized design and planning services with IKEA experts to reach more customers across Ontario. The Design Studio is a new concept for the Canadian market that allows customers to design and order complex furnishing systems for the kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and living room by scheduling individual planning sessions with an expert in trained IKEA design or via a self-service planning station in a dedicated studio space.

The first design studio opened in Oshawa, ON to September 1st. The IKEA Brampton Design Studio will open on October 14, 2021followed by St. Catharines and London pitches at the end of October/beginning of November.

IKEA design studios will open in the following locations:

  • IKEA Brampton Design Studio: Downtown Bramalea, 25 Peel Center Drive, Brampton, Ont. L6T 3R5
  • IKEA St. Catharines Design Studio: The Pen Centre, 221 Glendale Ave, St. Catharines, Ont. L2T 2K9, Canada
  • IKEA London Design Studio: The CF Masonville Place, 1680 Richmond Street North, London, Ontario N6G 3Y9

The IKEA design studio is much smaller than a traditional IKEA store and will showcase the entire IKEA range through digital solutions as well as a small curated selection of product samples on display. IKEA products or food will not be available for immediate take-out, although the IKEA Design Studio is an affordable and accessible destination for Ontario residents to enjoy IKEA design experience and expertise closer from their house.

Open for a period of 12 to 18 months, the IKEA Design Studio is a short-term concept connecting customers with IKEA planning and design experts in convenient local spaces, where an established pick-up point is also in place. Purchases made at an IKEA Design Studio can be delivered directly to customers’ homes or picked up at a local store. IKEA collection points.
